The Pioneer Woman by Ree Drummond

One of the first food blog I’ve found and actually one that inspired me to start sharing my food adventures. She has a huge collection of hearty, meaty food for all you meat lovers. Not only does Ree features recipes, she also writes about life on the ranch, family, photography and everything else in between with humor, quirk and factor of lovableness. What’s not to like when her step-by-step photo instructions themselves are already eye-candies. She has a hugely successful published cookbook and a romance novel is coming out in February. Really, is there anything she can’t do?

Bakerella Now, this blog is amazing, sweet and creative! Just browsing through her blog transports me to a magical, pretty, candy-filled gingerbread house where everything looks too pretty to touch, much less eat. Bakerella features amazing finds, imagination and creative with skills to make magic happens. Here are a view of her collections I adore:

You simply must see how the pudding cups are made. This is going into my “To Try” list.

She has a series of Cake Pops, that are so very cute and great for parties.

And I think, someone (Rich) actually used this to proposed. See the story for yourself.

I can’t think if anything better than cake and ice-cream. You can’t either, can you. Though so ;P

hsaba and blog I love, love the food on this website/blog. My favorites and most simple include:

Crispy Fritter Batter

Yellow Split Pea Fritters

Both this and the Crispy Fritter Batter are great as apetizers or in soups.

New Year Rice Dumplings almost like mochi

Sago pearls/Tapioca in coconut milk

I’ve made versions of this and it is heavenly. The palm sugar gives it a rich taste and a delicious aroma. If you don’t have palm sugar, brown sugar substitutes well too.

Avocado Ice-Cream

I will definitely try this recipie in the future because I know how good avocado milkshake is so I can already imagine how good this will be.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this little gallery of talented cooks and bakers. My next favorites will be coming soon…

Best Youtube Food Channels part 1

There are few things I love in this world, two that include food and YouTube. What do you get when you mix and toss them together? An endless recipe collection from all over the world right at your fingertips. Below are links of chefs and other food junkies I enjoy learning from.

aeriskitchen shows you Korean cooking. Her instructions are always simple and easy to follow, she has great presentation of the food. Aeris really cares about her viewers and takes the time to reply when you comment or ask a question. I love her Korean Styled Twisted Donuts and so did everyone else who has tried my replication of the recipe. You won’t regret, promise.

foodwishes with Chef John is a treasure in YouTube. I can’t begin to describe how wonderful his recipes are. They’re so simple and he’s just the type to not do extra non-essential steps. Chef John has videos not only on recipes but also tips in cooking and has a few published cookbooks with picture of each dish; that way you’re not left wondering if you made the dish right. He’s got a blog http://foodwishes.blogspot.com/ where he posts the complete recipe, direction and introduction to the dish. Some of my favorites: pumpkin pancakes, garlic spaghetti, his book

cookingwithdog focuses on Japanese food and features a cute little dog that “narrates”. I love watching all the new videos and my favorite one is Christmas Cake which I made for my little cousin’s birthday. Everyone loved it so much I ended up making the Christmas Cake for 2010 Christmas. All the heavy cream and egg white whipping may seem like a pain (especially if you do it by hand. Trust me, I know), but it’s all worth it in the end when you bite into the light and versatile cake.

DairyFarmersofCanada has a few great recipes and you guessed it, the recipes use plenty milk. If you’re lactose intolerant, it’s a sad story if you’re not, this is a great way to get your daily source of dairy.
